Architectural Shade and Shadow Study
One of my favorite books on architecture and design is “Design Drawing” by William Kirby Lockard. A small section of Design Drawing discusses the geometric principles of light, shade, and shadow. These principles fascinated me when I first read them and inspired me to do a series of drawings incorporating simple structures and how light, shade, and shadow interact from various angles.
